When you are short on time but you are interested in scuba diving Koh Tao. We offer a Discover Scuba Diving session in just 1 day in Koh Tao. You’ll get to experience the basics of scuba diving. If you change your mind after continuing the open water course here with us, the course price will be even lower!
After this experience, you can always continue the diving course with Open Water certification. It will take only 2 days in total for the rest of the course in Koh Tao. This level allows you to dive independently at a maximum depth of 18 meters.
Discover Scuba Diving is perfect for beginners. You don’t need to have any experience before trying it. If you are already comfortable with the ocean or a good swimmer, we recommend our 2-dive option, which is perfect for you! You don’t need to spend time practicing in the swimming pool; you can go right into the ocean.
Koh Tao has various dive sites that are suitable for the experience. You get to be comfortable in a shallow water area near the beach for your first confined water practice. After you finish all the skills, you will begin your underwater exploration in Koh Tao. You get to explore the beauty of Koh Tao’s ocean at two dive sites for the most memorable adventure in Koh Tao.
If you are worried that you might not be able to try discover scuba diving, worry not. This experience doesn’t require you to be able to swim. Our instructor can always teach you the basics to get comfortable in the ocean.
However, if you decide later on that you’d like to convert to the full PADI Open Water course, you need to be able to pass our swimming test. This includes: floating for 10 minutes and swimming for 200 meters.
Since this is probably your first time blowing bubbles with Discover Scuba Diving, we’ve got everything covered! There’s no need to buy your own diving gears–our complimentary rental gear has your sorted. Additionally, we treat you to a free Thai lunch during your session, with options for meat-based or vegetarian meals. We also provide a free shuttle service from most locations on Koh Tao (excluding villas with steep access). Discover Scuba Diving only takes a day for a complete experience. You will have a short morning theory at covers everything you need to know before the dive. You’ll also learn about fundamental skills in scuba diving before experiencing it yourself in the afternoon. Please check out our itinerary below.

To participate in the Discover Scuba Diving, there are two key sections and one optional section for the experience.
Learn all the required basics of scuba diving before your first scuba dive with our highly experienced and professional PADI instructor. You’ll be brief in the morning classroom session, which covers:
Before getting ready for scuba diving, you must first master the basic skills. Here’s a list of what you’ll be practicing and mastering. This is also what you’ll be covering in Confined Water 1 of the PADI Open Water course.
For two-dive and three-dive options, you’ll get an additional open water dive to explore Koh Tao underwater landscape. Our instructor will directly supervise your dive for the first time, so you can rest assured!
After confined water training and the first open water dives, you can always opt for more. You can choose to do more discover dive up to 12 meters deep without the need for repeated training within 14 days of your first dive with us. Or if you want, you can always convert what you’ve learnt into the full PADI Open Water license.

We maintain small group sizes to ensure personalized attention and safety. The maximum limit is 4 divers per instructor, but our groups typically consist of just 2–3 divers on average.
Yes, we offer a free shuttle service on your dive date. While we can pick up from most locations on Koh Tao, including the pier, some villas with steep entrances may not be accessible. If you’re unsure about your location, feel free to contact us, and we’ll help arrange the best option for you.
We provide a complimentary local Thai lunch on your dive date. The meal is typically rice-based with chicken or pork, but we’re happy to accommodate vegetarian or vegan options if requested in advance.
Yes, we offer e-learning options for our dive courses! You can complete the theory portion of your course online at your own pace before arriving. This allows you to spend more time in the water and less time in the classroom during your stay.
